Darkness To Dawn

Between the darkness and the dawn,
There lies a different zone.
No sun shines in this darkness,
It holds it's own tone.

Here birds sleep, fatigued from flight,
And street lights must be on.
Then people greet with a good night,
While all are looking wan.

There are no children crying,
For they are tucked in bed.
And lovers now are sighing,
As goodnight they dread.

Before you even realize,
As this dark zone you leave.
The sun is rising in the skies,
You've just passed the eve.
Of a bright new tomorrow.

Floria

Floria, I've been in the Twilight Zone myself
No, truly this is inspirational and tells me others feel as I do, that there is this special place where there is a rest, a healing, almost magical. I love this poem.  Thank you for sharing.

(smiles) Ooohhhhhhh...this indeed feels like the Twilight Zone, I can relate to this so much! (sigh) WE may find ourselves tripping into darkness every now and then, but there is always the start of a brand new day to follow filled with sunshine and love! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is wonderful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Floria, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Heres to better days, and brighter tomorrows....

enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you

I love the time when the night turns to a new day both in the physical and the spiritual.
You did very well with this layered write.

You briefly pass through my realm,
Where shadows take hold the helm,
A time where most pass in dreams
But is really different than it seems.
