The Lonely Path I walk

Into the visions of my dreams
alone I walk the shore
Where eyes are filled with passion gleams
of one I would adore

As sunlight starts to fill the sky
eyes fill with unshed tears
For no matter how hard I try
this isn’t what it appears

I reach out with words of desire
hoping to find the way
Still not sure what love will require
of feelings I convey

The door’s open to love anew,
yet, still there in no knock
I’ll go the way I always knew,
on the lonely path I walk

with the door open..you better watch out for what comes through..

this is funny
because I have my side porch door off at the moment with a tarp on the opening and am afraid what might sneak in..*s  your poem was perfect timing...

With all of the beautiful love poems you write, Karen...I hope that you aren't really lonely.  No one with such feelings as you have, should ever have to walk alone.
I loved the poem...and if you haven't already met him, I hope you will meet the man of your dreams soon,

I agree with Madame Chipmunk.  I also want to say what good find I find this to be.  A pleasant day to you.

Victoria...you could be right...maybe I had best close that door again and just be greatful for the blessings in my life. Thank you. **big hugs**

Michael...thank you, for the compliment...Now I am sure to have a good day..after all the sun is shining so what could ever be bad when the sun shines so brightly. **big hugs**

NCG...*giggling* just what I was looking for...a man to take me by the hand and go for a walk...*giggling* you are just too cute. I love it. **big hugs**

Many a step of lonesome path I have walked,
Enjoyed your poetic travels and hope it leads you to where
You want to go,
Mine seldom does.

Karen...your words..those from your heart
always express so many different feelings
and beautiful thoughts....Your path is not
alone....for your friends are always with
you each step of the way...

Some day he'll come along, and I hope and pray he is everything your heart desires.

I've learned, that love will usually just appear in open doors, it rarely knocks! Nicely done.
