Sunset & Stars

I had a dream that there I stood
as I hoped I always would
With desert sand benieth my feet
relishing in its suns heat

I spred my arms and closed my eyes
Inhaled the smells, you know why?
For the sunset is on the way
To put an end this perfect day

But the night sky in its glory
Will add a chapter to this story
for the stars and galaxys
In the desert are easier to see

My man and I snuggle there
with the cooling of the night air
And search the sky with all our hope
gazing through his telescope

Oh this brought back so many memories. I grew up in New Mexico. Am I nuts or are the sunsets there better than anywhere else in the world..
