if I had forever
I would love you until then
there is not a moment
that our love will ever end.

I have not been always
what you've needed, dear
take this time, this moment
read my words and hear.

Everyone should cherish
one whose always true
don't ever let it perish
their trust in loving you.

There's pleasure in a season
in wandering around
but darling, there's no reason
no other love I've found.

If I had forever
and no one really does
I would wrap you safely
in these arms of love.

So if you turn to someone
look into their eyes
just appreciate them
make them realize.

That no one has forever
a fool believes he does
don't risk the chance of losing
a true and faithful love.

"That no one has forever
a fool believes he does"

So true. Say the words of Love today, for today is all you really have, until tomorrow, which will again be...today.
Thanks for sharing this Johnnie.

You both are very special persons..
hold onto each other,

until it is gone.

What a precious love song for your Kathleen. I’m sure she’s going to love this. I’m surprised she hasn’t seen it yet, or, maybe she’s just waiting to put her response in. And you’re so right, we don’t have forever, so we have to make the most of the time we do have, and cherish the one we love.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

yes, I have seen it and it's wonderful.  My husband is very ill, none of us know how long we are going to be here, all we can do is give love openly and honestly and
make the other person contented and peaceful which is what poetry should do.  It's what people should do for the ones they love.

thank you hon and thank you all for your support and encouragement during the time I've been here.  I'll never forget it.

A most sincere and learned write, Johnnie.  My thoughts are with you and your family.  You should write more, if it's something you enjoy...you seem to have alot of talent.  Almost as much as your eloquent wife.  lol
