There is hope for even those that have just about given up for any help, it may lay in a touch of heaven falling on this earth. Oh coldness within Chilling me into bone chattering screams No warmth exists for the emotions are frozen The mind’s voids breeze through you In never ending memories fallen Paths long ago abandoned to doubt Carry cobwebs of horrors Sticking to you in the glue of life’s baits Tie you down bounded with no where to go Nothing is new for nothing happens The day begins before midnight And ends at dawn Bringing you down before you can start Oh cold my nerves are shattering In trembles so severe that they repeat In the valleys that held the others For the walls are too high to climb I lay isolated to myself My mind floats away from my body To the peace that is not there But in nightmares that lay you bare With nothing to hold onto Except your birth A hidden hard touches you And you are baptized Into a glow of warmth Of a blanket of love You are wanted Yes you are wanted And so you start out of your hellhole A step at a time From within your own soul For the help to survive Must first reside within As the chills still take their toll A new inner strength now builds Let them take you down into abandonment To only find no one there anymore Trap them in their conscience Of the pity they bestowed on you Walk away proud for they now lay shattered You see chills of fear for they don’t understand And as you lay a finger on them They start to feel the reason why Someone with nothing to offer Could now stand over them And offer a blanket of compassion That will glue them to their memories And how someone with nothing to offer Could offered more than some With all the wealth of warmth D.Lester Young (01/03/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) |

What a profound piece. There is worth to everyone!! People who have been beaten down are oten the most real people I have ever known. When we are stripped of everything we acquire a strength that is infalable. It is a rebirth. Very much like viewing the world as a child, yet this time picking and coosing what is important, what to leave, what to keep. I enjoyed this very much! This poem shows your depth in viewing the world and/or yourself and other people. |

BRAVO!!! A renaissance of faith and motive, I LOVE IT!!! (big hugggssssss) It seems those who suffer more will grow rich in love and pure compassion, to reach out to all of those who suffer and offer them hope and joy when all seems hopeless in their points of view! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, I have been there too and I almost sacrificed myself but only lived and hung on to become the person I'm proud to be! (big hugggsssssss) Excellent message, sweet friend, everyone should read this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lester, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
