Prov.1: 11-12, 18 [11] If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: [12] Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: She walked with light steps shyly, Glancing around nervously, As briskly she went striding Feared what the dark was hiding. Too often fears become real, A robber came forth to steal, Broke and broken starts to cry, Money wasn’t in his eye. She had not a single pence, So he’d take her innocence Tearing cloth she gave a cry, Happenstance for passerby. A carpenter going home Heard the slap and the moan, A plea that he did follow Walking in realm of shadow. Quietly followed the sound Evil and innocence found, Then without single word said Bashed the evil in the head. She released just ran away, Where she went he could not say, T’was enough she was alive Her innocence did survive. Uncovering a storm drain, Tossing down mankind’s profane, Sealing back the dark pit’s lid All the actions were now hid. The evil one woke screaming Perhaps a nightmare dreaming, But there were scurries in black, Then he left not looking back. [18] And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. Gloom |

Late again! This was a story that held me right to the end, and your interpretation of the subject makes it even more interesting. Very intense, and enjoyable read PJ. <font face="monotype corsiva">~* Carpe' Diem *~ |
