In the early stages of slumber
I lie awake and think of you
You visit me in my dreams
Always brightening up my view

When I need to see your face
I close my eyes and there you are
How vivid is your image
Like a bright and shining star

My heart calls out your name
In the still of the night
As I wish you were here beside me
How I wish with all my might

I cast out my dreams and wishes
Into a star studded sky
As I lie here waiting patiently
Eagerly hoping for a reply

I'm like a sailor adrift on the ocean
On love's vessel I'm sailing to you
Surrounded by calming waters
The color of rich sapphire blue

How we'll ride the waves of passion
And lay together on the warm golden sand
Love is eternal in this beautiful paradise
Right here in my magical dreamland

Beautiful imagery and soft emotion in this lovely poem Sue, and what better setting to describe the magnitude of love than the vastness of the oceans!!!
