Of what shall I write today
Like a sculptor with his clay
What I create is up to me
With pen and paper I set my soul free

Shall I write of hearts ~ broken and raw
Or the cotton candy rainbow I once saw
Elves so sprite, searching for gold
So many stories yet to be told

Lacy flowers ~ a bird’s sweet song
They’re my words ~ they can’t be wrong
Etched in my mind in all their glory
Words of poetry tell their story

The gift of word I drink and savor
Whilst my pen is showing favor

Cheryl,
Well may you say
your pen shows favour
for it does everyday
and your poems I savour

Noah, oh that my quill could always write. How kind you are. One day I'll post one of my diasters and give you a laugh. Cheryl

Keth, how you flatter. You should send some of the stuff that goes in the wastebasket. Thanks anyway, dear. Cheryl

Floria, Thanks so much for reading and being kind. I savor the word but sometimes my writing looks more like indigestion. Cheryl

This is very beautiful, Cheryl...
I can't believe that you write poems that look like indigestion....
I dare you to post a bad poem here....
I bet you can't do it!
Yours are always so perfect.

Lyra, you must have never read my "Swat that Fly" poem. Ughh! Don't dare me or you may end up reading it. Cheryl

Juanita, you are way too kind. I have tried to widen my horizons so to speak and all of that is due to MTC. Learned lots of wonderful things there. I'm so sad it's not the same anymore. But this is a nice place to be. Thanks for reading. Cheryl

Stevie,  Thanks so much. By the way, do you ever disagree with Mama? Just wondered. Cheryl
