Whisper I Love You Your body has withered, your limbs quite frail Yet visage speaks not of the suffering entailed Eyes show deep caring, lips held tight in smile Like the life lived, you’re parting in style One hand holds a bible, your guidance you say The other joins mine, together we pray You pray not for self but for those left behind Acceptance of passing you ask that they find As verses are spoken your voice starts to trail But to finish this prayer you will does prevail Then your eyes look deeply, right into my heart Telling me gently that it’s time that you part Clasping my hands, to your bible they’re brought Whispering softly of the freedom it’s taught Asking me to guard it, you need it no more Stating it grants souls the ability to soar A look of adoration befalls your sweet face I know now God holds your soul in embrace Speaking to Him in words I can’t comprehend Arms raised in acceptance, ready to ascend I hold you in my arms, softly whisper goodbye As tears roll off my cheek, on your face to lie I feel your soul leaving as you recline in death And whisper I love you to your last parting breath Brian Beaudry I wrote this poem upon arriving home from the hospital after staying with my mother-in-law for the last few hours of her life. Her devotion to God and compassion of others remained her formost thought, even in parting!! If I can pass on with half the dignity she did I will be pleased. |

God Bless You, sweet friend, she is so lucky to have such a loving compassionate son-in-law like you who has such a loving heart that sings like an angel! (big hugggssssss) Oh Brian, I know how hard it must have been to write this, we are all soooooo proud of you and I know deep down with all my heart she is now looking down upon you, smiling to know such a loving caring man like you! We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is marvelous! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Brian, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Brian, you have touched my heart. I loved my mother-in-law deeply and when people would make mother-in-law jokes, I could never relate. How special she must have been to you. Your wife is a lucky lady to have found someone who loved her mother so. Cheryl |

Brian, These are the most BEAUTIFUL words ever written to show your love and your MIL's love for others and for sharing God's love. I pray that when my time comes I too can go with that dignity and love for sharing God's love and words † May God Bless you and your family † Heather Without the experiance of love where would we be? We would have no memories to cherish. |

Well shoot Brian, this is NOT what I expected to find and MORE than I expected to find and check the by-line, my friend, for this woman sounds like someone I should have known, and probably have known... bless you for this... Karilea |

brian..in my family a mother in law is called a mother in love. I think you have spoken of it in this poem..for you have written this with love, and she gave it to you in her life and at her death. This was very beautifully written and heart felt ...thank you for sharing her and you with us. |
