I believe there was a love letter challenge floating around here somewhere. Unfortunately I never got to post mine due to computer problems.

Here it is.

Dearest,
When the day sings the night a lullabye
they awaken me from dreams of you.
The sounds of the day pluck me from sleep
and from my bed
to bear the grind of a sunlit ritual.
I, exasperated without my pen and your voice
manage to labor through
but I can assure you
it is done with a twinge of sulleness.
Ahh, but you know better, my love.
I cannot find smiles these days
unless you are a part of my thoughts.
So, I am sullen more often than I care for you to know
and I am smiling right now.
I know you can see it.
I try to move to rush the day
to hurry the night again
so that my voice can lie down with yours
on the caress of love and whispering hearts.
I would not give up the day though
for it is the great prelude
that comes before the biggest anticipation
of my heart entwined with yours.
In song of poetry we are bound
wrapped
and often silenced
for such love demands our awe
and our every attention.
Our only voices are sometimes our sighs
and they rest heavily and thrillingly
on the breast of night
and we sink and soar simultaneously
while the blood of love
seeks to carve a river in our thoughts.
I wander through the day so that I may find
the cloak of night in which to cover us with again.
My last aim at sunset is to hear your voice
sighing me to sleep
and to feel your hand steady on my own.

The perfect beginning and the perfect end to a day spent in love.

I would say that you have met that challenge.

(sigh) You are soooooooo romantic, sweet friend, this is sooooooo beautiful! (kiss on cheek) May you forever hear his voice put you to sleep and may you forever be lullabied by true loves bliss!
