A last whisper into The winter dark, Into the swirling Snow, Before the drift Buries this poor Craft in the frozen Countryside. The wayfarer hesitates Not overlong, For the way is long. Preservation of strength Is paramount. When do the sunlight And moonlight meet? They brighten their Own ends of the poles. How many light years Must we wait Before their spheric Luminescence entwines? We wait As day After night Come to a close Waiting their turn To again. |
