As oft' t'would seem that I digress,
'tis trenchant penchant I confess,
and thus I hope n'er goes away
ability with words to play.

As marbles scattered to and fro',
me musings o'er the page do flow,
'fore long, so I am told, ergo
their end is nigh, what fatal blow!

Aghast, my thoughts recoil, pell-mell,
'twas oft' among them I would dwell,
e'en now in death they cast their spell,
alas, poor words, I knew them well.

With sorrowed hand upon the pen,
might I yet call them forth again?

"As marbles scattered to and fro',

I'd like to see these flowing marbles more often, dear Dr. Moose.

Noah,
Thank you, your words are too kind.
Doc

Startime,
One of my classmates in the workshop inspired this little piece when he pointed out that I tend use archiac words to preserve meter and flow.I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Doc

floria,
Thank you . If you believe in muses, I think mine must be rather whimsical.
Doc

Midnitesun,
Thanks, the only problem with marbles is that some of them are klinkers.
Doc

Marge, my dear, now that could be a full time job( I don't even know how many I had to begin with!)Thanks,
Doc

nakd,
Glad you liked, this was another fun write.
