One Love

If we both care
for each other
we will keep coming
closer and closer
together.

Unless of course
one of us should
stop caring
for the pursuit
of love

then I am afraid
we would slowly
drift apart

and I know
this could become
one love that would
leave me heartbroken
forever.

It does take 2 and the truth of Love is that to be fully invested you have to give unreservedly and if the other should cease the pain will increase.

James, the sad part is we have no control of the other person's feelings. Mostly hard work and continual communication keeps relationships in the "Forever" catagory.
