Going through the same old motions Flowing constant like an ocean Lately I've been feeling less than fresh Making foolish mistakes in the flesh I'm stained with dirt And whoever said it doesn't hurt? I wash it away, disolve it from my clothes It's like a rose garden being picked, it regrows Internal scars and invisible stains Scrub and soak but the soil remins I don't come with a tag, but I require proper care I've been hung out to dry in polluted air I'm now ready for a fresh start To cleanse my spirit and let the filth depart I won't let the colors of me fade Instead I've chosen to shrink the memories we've made I feel as fresh as the scent of clean clothes Everyone gets a second chance to improve I suppose Often I've wondered where my strength was at? I found it...I renewed my cycle This evening at the laundry mat |

I just love it, aren't we lucky that we can always make new memories. Life is great. |

Very well done, Joanna. Last summer I wrote one about laundry also...but from a humorous perspective. One of these days, I'll post it here. copyright2002 Lyra Nesius |

reminds me of a book title I saw a while back. . . "After the Ecstasy, the Laundry". . .the idea being that after we reach where we want to go, there's still life. . . regular life. . . great job here. . . I really like it. . . --------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |
