The city sleeps in Fading light, Glass rainbows Shower the flowers of Earth Shadow and light Echo on stone In my hands, A symphony, A reminder Of time Three am becomes Meaningless, Never ending, Clearing the veil Of ragged edges In various stages I know I have walked This road before With every thought With every motion Yet, the riddle spoken Can not wipe the tears As I watch The moon dance away We move above dark waters The bottlemaker silent ***** Tomorrow's another day and I'm thirsty any way so bring on the rain [This message has been edited by Greeneyes (01-16-2002 07:49 PM).] |

What an original title and message throughout, Lauren, this really had the visions going in my mind. Very nicely done and flowed right down the page as you always do Kathleen--(Kay) |

Shaping it...smoothing it...creating it...and it has become a thing of beauty....BRAVO!!!!The vision I had of this was unique and perfect...though having done it many times before each was unique and rare...That is how I felt this poem. **big hugs** Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

My first impressions were that of someone blowing glass, rolling, tapping ... forming a unique shape of something to come. I still feel this way but the "riddle" has evaded me. Another excellent write, well deserving a few more reads .... I may be back!! |

A little cryptic but I suspect that is intentional. I get the feeling you're describing something at two different levels. Very haunting and pleasing poem to read. Really quite well done. |

Three am becomes Meaningless, Never ending, Clearing the veil Of ragged edges In various stages Lauren - oh, this is soft and lovely. Your words as always paint a picture in my mind. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. [This message has been edited by Nightshade (01-18-2002 01:07 PM).] |
