It is about the awakening of the poetic spirit within us. Awake poetic morning Start the day off right Let the heart that lies within Spread its arms of warmth Bless this land in magic highlights Creating the thoughts to float Along the awakening mists To evaporate into heavens sky Let the colors explode into our vision Creating the images that smile Within our soul in such power Words storm out in passion Which will make love with our surroundings Carry the winds of nature’s chorus With birds singing among the branches To then take flight over us Floating among the currents of our mind Creating the verses to remember The awakening within us D.Lester Young (01/16/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) |
