standing on a shadow's lace

Consumed

there is a fire
inside of me
in passions
tender flow
embers kindle
on with time
yet the heat
remains a glow
refreshing cooling
in this heat
generous sip
from passions cup
where sparks fly
to warm your soul
as a flicker to a flame
flairs up
come to me
this very night
and step within
its flame
we shall dance
between the blaze
to be consumed
and still remain
