Within Me

Within my soul there’s a place full of delight
Illumed and brightened by your loving light
You write wonderful words of love to me
That sing of friendship that was meant to be
Before you guided my steps away from hell
I was bereft of hope I had nothing left to sell
Then you came and showed me the way home
You showed me I didn’t have to be alone

Within my heart there’s a sanctuary divine
A place where hope and love often dine
Fed and nourished by the love from you
And kept alive by your spirit pure and true
I had wandered and fallen far from light
Was confused and blinded in the dark of night
Didn’t know where I was or how I got there
You showed me love and taught me to care

Within my spirit there’s your spirit still
It lives in me now and so it always will
Like twins whose minds are linked eternally
We are united in spirit and live in harmony
We resonate in time to the self-same song
And we will do so our whole lives long
If I should ever wander too far from home
You hold the lamp that guides me home

Marsha,
Once upon a forum, I stumbled,
Looked for words, but often fumbled,
Then was graced by a lady from Kent,
Loved me even though I was bent.

Looked to her for guidance and direction,
From those mean poets, a wenches protection.
She along, with her Aussie twin,
Placed on my face a permanent grin.

I'm better for having her, here in my life,
We can flirt and have fun cause she ain't my wife.
Just a wonderful woman from over the sea,
Sending care packages to little ol' me.

You wrote a beautiful poem, my friend.

RP darling girl thank you very very muchly YOU are such a great writer you know, that I am humbled that you can such nice things about me. This is a very special poem, and I know that the YOU in it really does appreciate it. But in truth this could apply to so many of my friends and family. They have each given me so very much.

I have been blessed by having such love bestowed on me, particularly since I don’t deserve it. But thank you all eanyway

Pepper darling girl well who’d have thought it a year ago that I would be so happy and you would be even more so? But truly darling girl it’s wonderful to see you glowing so, YOU really are shining and it’s wonderful to see.

And as for Passions lately there’s something about the warmth here now that wraps itself around your heart and you don’t want to stray.
