I brace myself against the door
As you struggle to find the knob
I tell you that he can’t come in
you stand there and begin to sob

I hear him breathing out there
His heat permeates the door
No manner of begging gets me
To move from the spot on the floor

Another knock, but I stand firm
Why you want this, only Heaven knows
So you can continue to cry there
As he stands outside shouting ‘Dominoes’!

I was thinking maybe about pizza too, but then, I suppose it could be something deeper, a mother protecting a child from an abusive man, knowing that once she steps out,all will fall like dominoes. But I'm on the pizza theory too LOL

you always have that different view of the world. . . I like it. . .

it wasn't the pizza guy--
it was digiorno's...heh

nice change of pace lady

darn, now I'm hungry!  Loved this, gave me a chuckle.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Sharon,
Pizza is the number one survival food for true expert eaters. I like it so much I don't even cut it into pieces. Just hold it and spin it while I chew.

This was fun.
