I was not blessed with beauty Nor was I cursed with ugliness My flesh was never something One longed to gaze upon I was a tormented child To other's my difference's were something To be joked about and riled I grew up hearing snickers Whispers Being the bunt of cruel practical jokes And belittling statements In a dark corner of my house I wept Fortunately for me A teacher.. Praised one of my poems Read it to my class Said this is an example of a poem Feelings poured out on paper Coming from a heart That is yours alone I was not blessed with beauty Nor was I cursed |

You were blessed with the beauty of poetry. Well done. Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

Arent' teachers some of the most amazing people? We are blessed to have one among us, she knows who she is... Teachers can make all of the different to a person, no matter what their age. Thank you for sharing this. Heartfelt writes such as this poem is indeed a fine example of poetry in motion... |

all of what you've written, but no teacher, no poetry....so thankful you had that one person to make a difference when you needed it the most! Kathleen (Kay) |

You were blessed with the most treasured and lasting kind of beauty. The beauty of words that come from a loving heart that are able to touch all those who read them. BRAVO!!! I love this poem. **hugs** Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |
