There you sit, in an old wooden chair. You know the one, like an old friend, it’s familiar creaking keeps you company. Through your pen, crimson tears spill from your heart, in search of the gentle dabbing from a cloth held in a loving hand. Looking out the window you’ve turned away from the tears wept onto fine linen stationary, wondering….. “Has my heart become a stranger to me, having lost it to her?” Look beyond the windowpane, beyond the pain. New hopes lie in the colours of seasonal change, and as dreams swirl in winter’s bluster, know your heart will always be known to mine. Love….. ever deep...runs the wishing well for fairytale illusions [This message has been edited by A Whisper's Caress (edited 11-26-2001).] |

The play on words in the title captured me immediately. I love to play that way. Good job. CM |

I'm betting the recipient of this letter will be deeply touched. It is beautiful If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

I loved the way you referenced "pains" in your title and brought the relevance to it within your verse. Wonderful writing and full of deep emotion. The flow was very smooth and the moments were easily captured in your words. |
