hey yall
greetings from the great state of virginia.  i have been down here over a month so thats why no one has seen me.     i only get to a comp every few days but i will be reading yalls responses as soon as i can     i miss you all.  tell me what you think.  see yall latra

I Did Things My Way

I might be young
but i am old for my years
i have had my up and my downs
shed my share of tears
most look at me and judge
by the my look or my style
they dont try to get to know me
and come sit and talk for a while
they just see my hair
my tattoos, and my scars
they say look at that white trash
he'll never go far
just a lonely southern rebel
trapped in a Yankee land
living week to week
Surviving when i can
they say he's just a hippie
and he aint got no class
well thats when i tell every one of them
that they can just kiss my
cuz i worked hard for what i got
and i did it my own way
no one ever believed in me
no one gave me the time of day
but how do you like me know baby
this angels gonna hit it big
went out and taught myself guitar
now playing for hundreds at a gig
i play an old guitar
from nine to a half past one
just trying to make a living
watching everyone else have fun
just writing songs and playing
and having a ball
working on my way
to NYC and Carnegie hall
my look might not be country
and thats hated by some
but mark my words
I'm going platinum
i also am quite a poet
though you wouldn’t know its true
cuz yall told me my writings scary
cuz it was just to deep for you
they said stop writing that stuff
and write about happier things
like flowers and bees and nature
and how the robins sing
but i wrote about my real life
and no one liked that much
they were scared of it
said that it was all to much
they didnt want to see the truth
life threw the ghettos eyes
they were all to busy in suburbia
anything dark they would disguise
I’m one in a million
there aint another like me
i like from Kid Rock to metallica
from hank jr to D.R.E.
life aint always been easy
but i wouldnt change it if i tired
cuz it made me the man i am today
it gave me what i am inside
it gave me my heart
that i wear on my sleeve
it might look broken
but dont let looks deceive
for its as strong as ever
and getting stronger by the day
no one can stop me know
nothing will get in my way
my dreamz will be reality
and i know that to be true
and i will survive
no matter what i do
so to those who doubted me then
and the ones that doubt me still
yall better back up
cuz i got dreamz to fulfill
this angels coming threw
and i aint slowing down
you will never rob my smile again
you will never make me frown
no matter what i do in life
least i can always say
i did it by myself
and i always did things my way...

Jesse C. Jaymz

Its just another heartache
I dont even wonder why
Its just another woman
whos telling me goodbye
Its just another sad song
Ill sing again tonight

Hi Jesse! Nice to meet you. Let me just say that this is fantastic! I have much respect for you for doing things your way and going the extra mile when everyone thought you would quit! In this world, there are always going to be people who try to bring you down, but don't ever let them! you have far too much potential to stop now!
If people can't take the time to get to know you on the inside, then they aren't worth it, everyone deserves a fair chance without being stereotyped. Wow I'm sorry to keep rambling on, but this is the best write I have read all day...its direct and honest.
You must get to a comp and post more often!!!

Yah for you.Keep being true to yourself. We should not judge others for the fear of being judged ourselves. It's what'son the inside that counts.Lokks can be decieving.Keep writing.

I love those lines..*s and don't let them ever get you down Jesse..I enjoyed the read. However you look is your own style. No matter who we are and how we look there is always someone out there who wants to judge us. Usually they are the ones who have low self-esteem and want to try and bring you down. Don't let them do that to you...you have a great spirit. Nice to see you back.

Jesse!!!

Why didn't you tell me you were going away?!? I was getting worried about you. So good to see you back! I can't wait until you hit it big. Then I can come and see you in concert and say that I know you. lol

But as a mod, I have to say that the "kiss my   line may not be acceptable. Maybe it's okay because you didn't use the word, but it's implied, ya know what I'm saying? Anyway, I'm not trying to be mean or anything so don't be mad at me okay? *hugs*

God bless America, my home sweet home.

Jesse,

I'm glad to hear that you are having a good time in Va. This is another great write from you, my friend. I'm so happy that you did share your life stories with us through your poetry. It was through these poems that I came to learn about and love you as the friend you have been to me for almost a year now.

The people that can't look past the long hair, scars and tatoos are the ones that are missing out. Sometimes we forget the people who really do understand the true paths we are yearning to take.

Your dreams can come true anywhere because of who you are, not because of where you are.

                          Missing you a lot,

                                 Dawn

Hey Jessie,

Its hard that people forget that how we look on the outside is just a cover. And most of the time the cover is created to fit what others want it to look like, hiding the real person we are inside.
Not many people get to see the real (us) and I thank you for letting us inside.

Loved your work.. {{{{ and remember us when you hit the world sky high ;-) }}}}}

How many curves is a mountain allowed,
when a man has a dream to fufill.
How many eyes will it take till they see,
an army of words rebelling destiny.
How many rocks of remorse can be thrown
by those not willing to understand.
You answer this here within words so deep,
A soul of desire, and wisdom to seep.

Your poem somehow inspired this one, not sure how actually but it did

Hi Jesse, glad to see you and read you again, cuz there's only one of you sweet guy.

I probably will never hear, but if you play the guitar like you write your words, I'm sure I'd like it.

Keep the good wor(d)(k)s going.
