The frozen field passes by
An eerie blue under the half-moon
The stars shine bright
Sparkling diamonds, dreams in the sky
The gentle hum of the road below
Reminding me of my bounds
The darkness looks so empty
Like what I feel inside
Only dreams break the emptiness
Impossible dreams
A lonesome journey
Surrounded by friends
I look out the window
And catch my own eye
I am on the inside looking out
And on the outside looking in

That's quite a reflection. I like this piece a great deal. Particularly the dream references. I am a dreamer...and that's not a bad thing to be. Hold tight your dreams too...sometimes dreams really do come true.

I like this, Jason. A very well written poem of how loneliness feels.

"A lonesome journey
Surrounded by friends
I look out the window
And catch my own eye
I am on the inside looking out
And on the outside looking in"

very intense piece
final two lines are great
wonderfully done
title expresses the poem
with uncanny perfection

I'm with Tracey on this one : )
Everyone experiences lonliness at some point in their life, but keep on dreaming and better days will come!

"A dream is a wish your heart makes....."
Oops, sorry Jason.  I have been known to break into song when something in a poem reminds me of one.....gee, this is so good.
Great imagery and terrific ending.

(big hugggssssss) So sad but beautiful, sweet friend! (sigh) I'm so sorry to feel your loneliness now, but very soon, as you share your love, you'll be suprised of how much love and friendship you'll find! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet Jason, we're all here for you if you ever need someone to talk to! (big hugggssssss) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jason, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
