~*~ In Solitude ~*~In solitude, the darkness of the sky slowing unveils; beckoning me to enter the secret garden of my mind. Mind's eye envisions a soft, lush, green canvas, a painting etched from the palette of the Master. The earth, wind, moon and stars become alive as evening falls, slowly awakening these magical hours. I breathe in the day, remembering how it soothed me, drenched in the sensuous curves of life’s landscape. Gently, Mother Nature held me gently to her trunk. I watched as feathery, clouds journeyed to nowhere. How long have I waited to think these words? To softly whisper in my mind the notes of this song? I push back my hair, feeling the caress of a gentle breeze. To simply hear the soft whispers of rustling leaves, remember the warmth of the sun on my skin, and chill to this coolness of the moon awakening my soul. Reflection of the heavens on the sea brings such peace. These are the magical hours with no rhythm or rhyme. Saturated in the beauty of all creation around me. The magnitude of all things graced by his touch. I am in awe that I am but one with creation. I AM the trees, birds, mountains, oceans, the sun, moon, and stars, all colors, all creeds, just one solitary soul in this artist's master plan. Evening falls and I so slowly awaken, feeling the soft caresses of the moon. Through this union with all creation, I find peace in my soul with the heavens and earth. Irish Rose ~ I thank you for enjoying this one as much as I did writing it. To anyone else reading, if I don't thank you right away - I am getting a new computer system set up today, so might be offline for a bit - but will certainly appreciate your time in reading and will get my "thank you note" done when I can. Thank you for understanding. ~*~ Carpe' Diem ~*~ |

Solitude can be such a wonderful place to be especially when you realize that all creations are equal. I enjoy knowing that I alone am an equal to the eagle as well as the spruce and all that reign in between. Superb writing and I feel as if I was just spoiled a bit just in reading it. BTW...if you haven't already read it, there is a book entitled "Through Indian Eyes" that would fit this poem to the tee. Lovely write and I thank you for the moment of solitude it gave me. |

This is lovely, Sharon - I truly enjoyed your version of solitude... A stanza from my version... The wind breathes gently on the panes. These walls indeed remain imbued. The roof-top patters with the rains ~ My hearkening fills solitude. I like your rendition... |

Beautiful poetry...inspiring reflections... touching discoveries of ones self in the plan of things meant to be. (and you know I LOVE that pic) "If I could fly ... I'd pick you up ... I'd take you into the night ... |

A dreamy write that had me close my eyes and soar with the wonders of the Master's artistry. Your gentleness shows in every single word penned in this very fine piece. As usual you beautify poetry. |

I wish to thank you all so much for reading and enjoying this write, as I just loved doing it. This was how I felt last night in the autumn breeze as I walked down a trail to the ocean, and it seems there was no sound but my own breathing, and what a wonderful experience that was. I hope you all take time for solitude, and MARK I absolutely loved your words, thank you, as that is what the feeling was and I am glad you too experience it. ~*~ Carpe' Diem ~*~ |

Sharon...this brought to mind two weeks of blissful relaxation while absorbing the awesome beauty that Canada is so delicately decorated in...and how it soothed the heart, mind, and spirit. There was such soothing peacefullness to your words, and it was absorbed into my entire being...bringing me back to a mountain overlooking a beautiful ocean not far from where you live...~*~sighs...~*~ Very beautiful, my friend... Hugs and much love to you and yours, ~*~dawnie~*~ |

Ah Dawn - I wish you were here again, I was up at the creek (remember where we went) and sat on that rock sculpture you made and sort of cried, and wrote this. There was not a single sound except for that trickle of water running through the rocks. Nevermind you and the girls will come again! Miss you. |

My ear is full. I am totally deaf, as I read. So all your images come to me in living Braille. I once dreamed of the Moon. In my dream it was dawn. The Moon was full. I held it in my hands. It felt sort of like a basketball, smooth, big and round, a cool textured surface, nothing like the cratered hemisphere that one can see. We call the Moon full though one can see but half of it. And as I held in my hand, woundering of what celestial stuff it could be made, it set. |

From my heart to yours...this is glorious. Your vision of solitude is the most rewarding I've ever felt...and yes I felt that entirely through your words. The art is pure art. I would love that picture on my wall!!! Sincerely, Regina It's all in the mind |

Thank you all for your reception on this one, as I think I said back up there somewhere I wrote this in a very special place I shared with a very special friend one day. It is the most tranquil setting, but then again, solitude can be obtained anywhere if you choose it to be. Thank you. ~*~ Carpe' Diem ~*~ |

Absolutely the best. The music, the art, the poetry, the thoughts. I was soaring on eagle wings, or maybe with the dove's, and felt the rush of the wind lifting me higher, and higher as I read this. Thank you. |
