One More Mile I saw her as she sat on step a gentle shake as she wept I wanted to ask what I could do then felt the chill that runs straight through I have been where she now sits and know how the uncomforted help of strangers fits sometimes it’s better to sit and cry alone than to pretend to wear a stronger tone for in our strength it’s alright to be weak and in our own safety is what we seek as we learn again we can stand there is no running till walking is planned so as I approached her I just smiled knowing her journey home is shorter by one more mile "I have already paid for all my future sins." Sade...(King of Sorrow) |

1slick_lady - how well I know the emotions that you have portrayed. Especially this verse, as we have become friends at times; sometimes it’s better to sit and cry alone than to pretend to wear a stronger tone BC |

This has a lot of wonderful wisdom in the lines, and it is better to be invited to share in someone's sadness than to jump into it, and a smile is the key to any door. This I loved! ~*~ Carpe' Diem ~*~ |
