1 Listen to roll of the distant thunder Listen to rain as it’s tapping windows, Listen to sadness in crying passion Listen to madness of lasting sadness Listen to laughter of happy others Listen to quiet when crowds have faded. 2 Look to darkness in the casting shadows, Look to blandness in lacking emotion. Look at sadness of the raging madness, Look to blankness when without another, Look at silence of a heart not sated, Look at awe in a face lost in wonder. 3 Feel the reverence of faith’s devotion, Feel the soulful mass filling with gladness Feel the disruption of an inner shudder Feel the ache of the hearts too long waited, Feel the longing when they want another, Feel the drop of a soul deep in sorrow. 4 Smell the salt in waves of flowing sadness, Smell the fear when caught without a shelter, Smell to hook in the trap freshly baited Smell the fragrance of a heartless lover, Smell the coffee she leaves you tomorrow, Smell the stench left from her heart’s eviction 5 Taste the bitter left by her departure, Taste the brine of love not to be fated, Taste the sweet to then lose it forever, Taste the sour of time you did borrow, Taste the moment of your own extinction, Taste nothing as you slip into darkness. 6 Think to times and the maybes were stated, Think to the future than now come never, Think to promises that lead to sorrow Think to hope than will not reach fruition, Think to the void of spiritual numbness, Think to the storm with it’s far off thunder. Think to times and the maybes were stated, Think to the future than now come never, Think to promises that lead to sorrow Think to hope than will not reach fruition, Think to the void of spiritual numbness, Think to the storm with it’s far off thunder. how well I felt these words..I have always hated the words, perhaps, maybe and finally never... ~Wynter watching on the edge of the storm...listening to the thundering of thoughts, feeling numb "For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. |

"Listen to quiet when crowds have faded" I enjoyed reading your heightened sense of awareness.....listen, look, feel, smell, taste, think. "Look at silence of a heart not sated, Look at awe in a face lost in wonder. Smell the fear when caught without a shelter, Feel the drop of a soul deep in sorrow. Taste the sour of time you did borrow Think to the void of spiritual numbness, Think to the storm with it’s far off thunder." Thes are all superb lines, that stimulated my senses. |
