Poetry ripped and torn From a hopeless heart Out of stagnant minds Comes essence of thought Meaning little to most A lot to few Most hardly caring Few grasping it endearingly Tossed hither and to From eye to brain Wanting not to hear Hearing only what's wanted Caught desperately in self-center Looking but not seeing Trapped in frozen conformity Loving thyself truly forever Own words held greedily Others held in contempt By blinded singular minds On shaky rotting pedestals Greatest poet's messages misunderstood Open those damned doors Slammed shut so long Expand that critical matter All are great poets Minus silly literary rules Man made archaic barriers Passed on by you Many critics hating God When their knowledge combined Such a miniscule comparison Arrogance their idolized master |

You have said it perfectly, Sir Robert. Poetry is our heart and soul. A creation that comes from the deepest part of us. Who can therefore judge it bad in any way? **hugs** Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Robert, I know this feeling ever so well, and my heart goes out to you and many others who are judged ever so much for what their heart feels within, for God is the only true reviewer. (sigh) I am so happy and honored to be one of your biggest fans of your marvelous words, dearest brother! (big hugggsssssss) We all love you, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Robert, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

OK, Poet Man...this hit hard, and from the fist lines quote: it gripped, well and good. You ought to be darned proud of yourself with this one... |

Thoughtful piece. I must contemplate my navel on this one You know, Robert, some poetry is written to mean just what it says. Most, however, contains a much deeper meaning which even the poet cannot put into words. I believe your work, here, has some of both qualities. Excellent write my friend. |

My own poetry is pieced together from emotions that have sometimes already been ripped and torn, it is in the writing that it becomes new again, for me anyway. I enjoyed reading these thoughts, it was a fearless message. Kathleen |
