The Picture Yesterday, In a fit of shaken rage, I ripped our picture apart. It tore so easily--little flimsy thing All paper and no substance. And when I was finished Shredding I found the Scotch tape, through my tears And fit the jagged lines together. Your still smiling Though one eye is turned down, Slightly From the mismatch. Go ahead, push your luck; find out how much love the world can hold |

I enjoyed this poem alot. It's raw emotion was well written. And those last few lines, image of eyes slightly out of line, caused me to smile at your revelation of the mismatch. |

This has vivid imagery, and an excellent expression of raw anger and frustration. I liked that mismatched eye. |

This reminded me of the movie I just watched called "Amelie"...there was a character that collected torn up pictures from the trash can at those instant photo booths and glued them back together and pasted them in a photo album...he wondered why he found so many of one certain man and it turned out he was the photo repair man...James |

LOL James. Everything has its story I guess, but sometimes you can't read too much into them. Thanks for reading and responding Peaches: Thanks, glad you liked it. And yeah, anger sure seems to bring on more regrets than any other emotion. Makes me wonder sometimes why we have to have those feelings. Duncan, thanks for reading. Im just now realizing the mismatch, and I;m glad the emotion came through. MidniteSun: Glad you liked it. Thanks for reading. Nancy: Thanks for the response. I like to know what works as Im just starting out. Go ahead, push your luck; find out how much love the world can hold |

This is a great poem in that it truly tells how we sometimes do things on the spur of the moment only to regret them when we can think more clearly. Very well done. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

We do many things out of anger that we never really meant to do. Unfortunately it's only when they are done that we sit back and look to realize what we have done. You have shown that well here. Nice write. All writing comes |

you use this image well here. . . showing what can happen when anger takes over. . . well done. . . -------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |
