A penny found in the gutter, Not alone with another Coppery shine now tarnished It’s new gleam with time vanished Laying too long in the street Trampled by so many feet, Not worth the effort to bend, It is not enough to spend Two pennies won’t buy candy Gum is a dime now I see, But to gather from the gutter I’ll shine away the tarnish. I enjoyed this one as well PG. (I do hope that's okay with everybody.) Well, I was gonna edit that out, but then Deer's remark would have been left hanging there, so I guess I will just humbly apologize for being a smart ass. Sorry guys, I'll be good. It's ok this time, serenity, but don't push it We all need to get our two cents in... |

I once was like that penny, lost, maybe, all alone and tarnished. Someone picked me up, cleansed me with their touch until I shone again.. But the gleam has worn off and time has bent their efforts and the worth has become hidden again by the weathering of wants. enjoyed the images, once again ~Wynter "For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. |

This made me think too! When I drop a penny , I never pick it up...but I should pick it up because pennies add up! Good Write |

How lovely the thought that you would not let a penny lie in the gutter...and that we should see it gleam, again... well done, Sir... |
