Love Letter Without Words Resting head on sill of window A thought fills cold night’s vagrant circle And heats it with the sweet perfume My love dipped feeling without letter So perfect is the path of gleaning That vision of your dear heart fills me I see your head bent low so serious Your breath the music of the room Your eyes first squinting in low light Soften to glowing of an ember And the concentration of some heat Melts the rigid I was glimpsing I would be standing at your back My arms encircling your heart beating To feel the pulse my thoughts have measured As you turn and search the window I sent the moon to post my love note Across the heaven’s darkest paper Sent on moonbeams silent curve To touch you with my fervent render I bare my shoulder to the touch Of orb of light from near but yonder And feel the heat of fingers tender Your love dipped reply without letter [This message has been edited by Martie (12-30-2001 05:54 PM).] |

I sent the moon to post my love note Across the heaven’s darkest paper Sent on moonbeams silent curve To touch you with my fervent render I bare my shoulder to the touch Of orb of light from near but yonder And feel the heat of fingers tender Your love dipped reply without letter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Martie! WOW! ...I am suddenly speechless once more. Love you and your work gal! ~Hugs, Nancy~ *~ Wishing everyone a New Year filled with Peace & Love ~* |

'I would be standing at your back My arms encircling your heart beating To feel the pulse my thoughts have measured As you turn and search the window I sent the moon to post my love note Across the heaven’s darkest paper Sent on moonbeams silent curve To touch you with my fervent render I bare my shoulder to the touch Of orb of light from near but yonder And feel the heat of fingers tender Your love dipped reply without letter' These are some of the most moving lines I have read in quite some time...this is such a fantastic poem, Martie...but, I wouldn't expect anything less! sp And did you know with the rain in your pockets, |
