     “CONTEMPLATING VISIONS”

I took her to the mountain top today,
which reached into the clouds…
We could see for many miles around,
and were away from, all the crowds…

Looked out over the valleys green,
to the calmness, of a beautiful bay…
Then beyond to majestic mountains,
rugged I could see, yet so far away…

Closed my eyes, and felt the cool breeze,
gentle it was on my face, I was at peace…
Her hand was warm, as I held it tight,
didn’t want this moment, to ever cease…

I thought about the past, and the future,
and how I would want my life to be…
Contemplating visions in my mind,
she was in them all, for her to see…

this is so visually entrancing you can almost forget the metre slips in verse two,
such a lucky lady...oh to be taken to the mountaintops with you.
