Out of the fry batch into a chip
new trends set had our forefathers flip;
it all occurred from a cooking mistake,
fries too thin was what was at stake.

out of the pantry into the store
out of sealed packages, kids would want more;
out of the batch, the cuts were thin as paper,
Crum thought his cut would backfire and end his caper.

But the error became much in demand
and making chips was first done by hand,
the packaged products would sell as crisps...
curious buyers would buy at welcomed risks.

A cut of trivia and a slice of lore
the lowly chip rose up from the floor;
there was a time when its future was dim,
now marketers know how to flavour the thins.

Witty and humorous...for some reason it reminded me of an old Rush song titled, The Trees.
