Time passes slowly within a mind fogged with fear It has no boundary Emotions shroud me, overcome with a tear Nothing more can I bear. Yet it comes again Feelings long buried now emerge from the mist Overcoming a feeling of dread Love allows me to forgive all the wr ongs of my list But how much can I forget? Answers appear as nothing but more questions To forget the torture is like trying to forget how the sun sets in the west Yet a force drives me ahead. I will not let fear get the best My spirit will not die like the rest "Forget regret, or life is yours to miss. No other course, no other way... No day but today" |

Such deep sorrow coming from a sweet heart, my friend. I liked the feel of this, especially the single lines between the verses. I also liked the hope at the end. Always keep the hope and that cute smile on your face. Luv ya much, dearie. *Krista Knutson* |

Such sadness in this piece.. but the ending shows a turn from lamenting for the past to striving for a bright future. Wonderful poem, Cassie, I love the single lines between verses, also, they provide a nice transisiton. Keep writing my friend, it may help you find more answers! "Time passes slowly within a mind fogged with fear" Indeed it does! I greatly enjoyed reading this one. |
