Sometimes we have to go find our own special place in order to create the beauty within us.

There is an angel here on earth
Who has a broken wing
He was trapped here by a storm
A fierce storm that hailed him down

Darting about he became lost
In the wilderness of mistrust
The treatment of fellow humans
Brought tears to his spirit

Hampering the healing process
As he hid between us in the shadows
His whisper views came with insight
But the dark side created doubt
About the sincerity of some

As he danced with the butterflies of thought
In the bushes of wild roses
The innocence here blessed him

It was only when he wandered
The streets of commotion
That all those negative actions
Drove him into a frenzy

So he retreated into his garden of love
And weaved a tale of songs
So sweet that the other angels
Came to join him in chorus

The others asked how come
His voice had grown so brilliant
He said that all the depth
Had come from all the suffering
It had opened him to the beauty
Of creating his own garden
To sing that song of emotion

Some wanted to learn to sing like this
But he said you have to learn to cry first
So they joined together lifting him up
To the sky so full of beauty
That the melody melted into the night

(smiles) Oh Lester, I know just what you mean, for when I was going through my long depression, I found talking to myself and being alone helped me learn deeper about myself, and in listening to my heart, I have found these inner-peace! (big hugggsssss) Soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, your words are always a pleasure to read! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

An angel would certainly be out of place in our world. He did the right thing, seeking refuge in a place of his own. We must all do that at times....very good poem
