Christmas will be spent without you again this year With you absence I'm losing my holiday cheer I understand your boss needs you at work I don't expect him to care about how much I hurt We are separated by a distance of two thousand miles Photographs are as close as I get to seeing your smile We've missed big chunks of eachothers lives big brother I see your big brown eyes everytime I look at our mother Without you my christmas isn't so merry I try to be happy but it feels so ordinary I'm without you, having christmas in florida heat What I really want is a white christmas with you to be complete |

Joanna, I know its hard when family members can't be with you on Christmas. I won't be with my sister, or a couple of my cousins (I have a tight family.. but we're all grown up now and went our seperate ways). You know he is thinking of you and missing you too.. and the love in your heart will be the connection. Have a good Christmas Joanna Hugs, Tara "My heart is like an open book, for the whole world to read" |

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that he can't be home with you. Try to make the best of it by keeping him close in your heart...as he will be doing with you! Merry Christmas! |

Joanna...(Now I have a name...can I rememb. it....) I know your feeling...after 25 years in the USN...many times I was away for Christmas. It felt very lonely...something was very much missing...I hope that maybe next year you have that moment...But growing up sometimes does this to us all....Doesn't feel better though.. |

dang, I miss my big brother....he's over in Korea. It makes Christmas hard...my parents are trying to act like it isn't so bad, but they miss him terribly, so it makes it that much harder for me. (((hugs))) to you, I hope you have a great Christmas anyhow |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Joanna, this is so very sad, I know just how you feel, for my brother Larry too cannot see me these holidays. (kiss on lips) I hope you have the happiest holidays, sweet friend, and know that your brother loves you so very much always and wishes you the happiest Christmas! (sigh) I love you, sweet friend! (kiss on lips) You have such a beautiful heart, my love, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Joanna, I wish you a Merry Christmas in spite of the absence of your brother, this year. Take heart, and think of the many Christmases you shared with him in the past...and those you will share in the future. copyright2001 Lyra Nesius |

It is very sad that family can't be with you on Christmas. I haven't seen a Christmas with my big brother in 6 years. This year, my husband and I are going to spend Christmas together and then go home, just worked out that way. He hasn't spent Christmas with his family since 1998 when he joined the military. That's the only bad thing about being in the military or being married to someone in the military, you never know when you'll be able to see your family again. You never know where you will live next. I guess this poems hit home with me because of my brother and the fact that this is my first big move away from my family. |

RP - I guess I am lucky because my immediate family all live in close proximity to me. It is a shame you can't share Christmas with your brother, but I am sure he knows your thinking of him. By the way, I heard from my friend who lives in Tampa, that it has been 80 degrees down there. Now that is one hot Christmas. By the way, I enjoyed this touching write. Dave |

You say this well, and hoping your Christmas is a little brighter (but not so warm). |

Aww, such a sad poem Joanna! I hope someday you are united with your love, and will live the rest of your life happy in love, during a white Christmas. Cheer up, it will happen, dont worry. From your friend Randy Meador a life lived unexplored is a life not worth living. |
