I who go for days without seeing an open field or a tree-covered hill (much less a mountain), and who rarely see a sunset, and almost never a sunrise, still think of these each day or night when I ride home underground on the Metro, after only a few seconds out-of-doors, from office building with no window for me, to the subway entrance. Daylight; open vistas; twilight; sunrise; mountains, woods, flowers, trees - hunger ! . Glenn~ I wish your 'hunger' to be filled with a sunset in the making Fields kissed with sunlight for the taking Trees to wave at break of day across hills of beauty to come to lay Within the vision of your sight and then ... and then a starry night~ *Thank you for the 'inspired' wishes I send your way~ Happy Holidays, my friend~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Reminds me of the 1500 or so days that I was on a submarine...underneath the ocean.. wondering if the sun were shining above us.. The squint that beset me upon seeing it again...only to dash back down into my haven.... This poem can be related to by many of us.. Nicely done Glenn... |
