Another day passes a petal falls from thine rose A tear falls from my mother's cheek She cradles me as I drift into sleep A thorn pierces my skin once again I want to live to be 100 Please don't let me die not today, not tomorrow, not ever Another day passes a petal falls from thine rose Tears roll down my sister's cheeks She washes my red face Please don't take me away not today, not tomorrow, not ever Another day passes a petal falls from thine rose Tears embrace my cheeks once again No one is left to cradle me The time has come it wasn't today, nor tomorrow, nor ever It was now I was dying each day with each blow with each hit with each smack with each beating I was dying But I can once again live once I remove the thorns my mother placed into my skin I will live |

What can I say? Lovely, definitely. Poignant, a trifle morbid, but it had to be considering the topic. I thoroughly enjoyed the effort. |

sad and scary but so well written. Keth Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

A small child's worst nightmare. A very heart-rending read. Thank you for sharing this... |
