Monkey Brain

Attempted an early night
turned off the lights
and the sound
but the words in my head
kept forming.

And I kept reading
what else was there to do?

Attempted an early night
yet here I am
with scattered thoughts, again
well into third shift
I should be sleeping.

But I kept thinking
what else if not of you?

oh the ending grabbed me.....yes, that is where I am sitting tonight too LOL I am almost sure I might be able to get some sleep soon...

Yeah sure...I go to bed early for once, and STILL I get blamed for keeping you up late!!!Lol. By the way, if ya didn't sleep the day away, maybe you'd get some sleep at night!!
