The Friendly Pretender

The user having left
They had their feed
For what purpose
Can only be greed

What had become
To all their loyalty
Taking their leave
With pieces of me

For what reasons
I wish that I knew
Ever hungry ego’s
Had a good chew

Although your lies
Begin tasting bitter
Heart will recover
I’m never a quitter

Thought to be true
It was my mistake
Friendly pretender
Led to heartbreak

*sigh* this kind of pain is so very familiar to me and that is why I have learned to keep mostly to myself. I weave my little dreams and try not to let anyone get close enough to me to hurt me. My heart breaks for the pain you are feeling, Hope. I am just glad to see that hope has not died and that you are not a quitter. **big hugs**
