I Wonder If It's Me? |

I was looking at your pictures- The house, the yard, the trees- The flowerbeds were blooming Blossoms swaying in the breeze... The children smiled so sweetly- Their joy was plain to see... But I sense there's something missing, And I wonder if it's me? I can smell the coffee brewing, And bacon in the pan... I can see you brush a wayward lock Aside with your left hand... Your neck looks so enticing- Just begging for a kiss... The river bank for walking... I believe would be pure bliss. Again I look them over... There's an emptiness I see- An element is missing... And I wonder if it's me? [This message has been edited by John Yaws (edited 12-16-2001).] |

Probably. This is a poignant poem, John. I hope you have family around you for the holidays, or warm and generous friends. I wish you peace and happy days, always. |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh John, I can feel such loneliness behind these words, my heart goes out to you! (sigh) I hope that you get to share some time with your loved ones this Christmas, for no one should ever be lonely during the holidays! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, your words are always so wonderful to read! (big huggsssss) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet John, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

John, this is a touching write. Such a gentle longing. Andrea Summon the courage to step out of your familiar rut and suddenly many of those things which held you back will no longer have the power to do so. |

John, I can hear this as a country song, if it isn't already -- very marketable title and concept with nice rhyme and meter. -MVS "Your focus determines your reality." --Qui-Gon from The Phantom Menace |

I am sure that at this time of the year we look around ourselves and question many things. My heart goes out to you, dear one. I hope you are surrounded by all the love that family can give you. **hugs** Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

What a lovely poem with it's reflection and "what if" questioning. I do so enjoy your writing. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

I echo Tracey in saying how much I love your writing. And, this does indeed sound like a country ballad. Enjoyed. Hugs, Nancy. "A dream is a wish your heart makes..." |

We all have to make our own decisions and follow our own paths in life as a result... I'd expect we all question the wisdom of those choices we made long ago... Your words are an exceptional exploration of these feelings, m'friend... |
