Song Of The Blue Rose
By: Noah Eaton
12/15/01

Forget-me-nots whisper in fields of barley
Sister whisteria hums to the baby robin egg morning
A lovely woman of my dreams combs her golden hair
Sitting on the crisp dale in this beguiling meadow of dreams

Her warm skin is a creamy satin peach
Her eyes are satin-laced in gossamer thread
Under His illustrious canopy she lays, innocent in her yearning
Braiding couplets into each sonnet she suspires in her Eden bed

Auburn flame reflects from her hair in the sunshine
The sweet intoxication of passion fills the waft
Natures sweet perfume allures me into her possession
The blue rose of true love awakens to a lover’s hand

On her head I queen her with my hearts diadem
Virginal dreams open before me, seeing new worlds of rapture
I see her smile every night now as I look upon the crescent moon
Tinseled in strands of angel hair, beaded to my pleasure

The cupid has opened the blue rose of my heart to you
Forever’s sapphire is now forever held dear
My eternal promise sings in its oceanic calyx
To forever cherish your love…in every smile and every tear

Noah, this is truly stunning.  I mean it.  The imagery and everything.  You sound so remarkably happy in these lines.  GOOD!

Opening up your heart like that
is something most could never do.
She must be some woman eh?
And so lucky to have you.

That was lame... But your poem was great.

This was a real piece of work Noah!  It is so romantic and beautiful, just like your heart, which expresses itself greatly.  Good work, good friend!
