~Happy Christmas Passions ~
~ ‘Twas The Week Before Christmas ~

'Twas the week before Christmas and Passions did glow
With lots of Christmas poems all on show
There's a hint of rivalry between Long John and 'Deer
And lots of folk wishing others the best of the year
There's Sunshine beaming and spreading delight
And Margie girl illuming these pages so bright
Keth is back amongst us, she is such a good soul
And as a writer of poems she fulfils her role

If Santa is here then he knows we've been good
Doing only the things that poetic poets should
We've refrained from rudeness and profanity
For that would offend everyone including me
Besides the moderators would lock up our page
And we would be left in silence and rage
So we obey the rules there are only a few
And only there for the good of me and you

Here comes SEA with a page of delight and cheer
And Bill Charles is behind bringing up the rear
There'll be a call from the ranks to sing us a song
So we can dance and party the whole weeklong
Sven will be dancing the Valletta with sun
And Marsha's trick with a sausage is fun
Roger is waiting for the wench's flame
And Stevie is dying to join the game

Come Nan and our Lyra and give us your best
Juanita your poetry will trounce all the rest
Although we all win in this contest of skills
Poetry bids goodbye to winters cold chills
Paula and Amy raise the flag high with glee
And Eric and Seymour sing their poetry
Now before I finish there's one thing to say
Happy Christmas my friends have a fabulous day
