Etchings

Leafless boughs cast long entrancing shadows;
Shapes of rigid form throw glancing shadows.

Barren branches twist in stark impression;
Boldly etched are Winter's chancing shadows.

Budding boughs sprout rich in life's resilience;
Gentle shapes pitch forth advancing shadows.

Greening branches blush with new expression;
Promise grows in Spring's romancing shadows.

Verdant boughs sway lost on wind's affection;
Shifting shapes forth send askancing shadows.

Leafy branches cast mosaic patterns;
Involute are Summer's prancing shadows.

Balding boughs drop leaves of fading color;
Light their falling shapes form dancing shadows.

Baring branches open skies to Zahaar;
Silent shiver Autumn's trancing shadows.
