This is about a series of different views in our emotions. Pane 3: The staining of your soul. Stain glass how you distort Looking into the same thing in different ways For what seems right will be wrong in another light Ripples in one color will calm in another How confused a mind can get When the only way to look out Is not in a clear white mist For it seems a world in one color does not work Nor looking out in different colors at different times For we have to see depth in all colors At the same time To see the overall picture To confuse our mind in a less intensity But still at times when you look From far away at the blending Of distorted glass In the image of something It will have a religious aspect to us Calming us from within So I will leave my stain glass window to reflect on Back into me As a mirror of sorts For looking threw it Will get quite maddening But reflecting on it will soothe me As long as I can see a clear mist in other windows In the rest haven within I will not be trapped With my emotions Which hide in my canyon abysses To peek out and observe In the depth of all colors D.Lester Young (12/12/01) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) |

wonderful imagery and clever use of metaphor to make the analogies of color and emotions... also looking out at our selves and the stained glass comparisons. very cool write. Welcome to Poetry Land. jm Its not like you to say sorry, |
