The Shores of Alone

Haunted remains of spectral dreams
no longer anywhere to feed
a hunger which no food can fill
a need for love held without will.

Supernatural love denied
memories lost upon a sigh
betrayal of hearts' dearest wish
gone in a fragile moments kiss.

Mystical touch of life remains
through broken tears and shards of pain
though absent, yet will love provide
and spectral dreams shall cease to hide.

I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind-I left my body lying somewhere in the sands of time. (3 Doors Down)

I like the form and flow of this poem.  It is one I will have to go to my corner and ponder a while.

I relate.  I especially liked these lines:

"memories lost upon a sigh"

"gone in a fragile moment's kiss"

WOW.  Those are two beautifully and simply stated visual truths which really grabbed me.
I know this feeling well...

A smile to you

How fragile love can be, gone with a sigh and a kiss. Poignant, but very well written Sandra.

I thought I had replied to this, it is a very sad write.  The title itself makes me almost weepy.  ((((hug)))))

Only true love will have the key to the magic it will take to take it out of hiding and let it grow in all its beauty. This poem is absolutely wonderful and I love it. **big hugs**

This is hauntingly beautiful Sandra. You’ve described love lost perfectly here. May a new eagle of love rise out of the ashes of this one.

Wow, sad write here.  Don't ever give up hope, Sandra.  We never know what God has in store for us.  Tomorrow will be a brighter day indeed.
