If I were me in a package with a red bow
polka dotted in gold
and sent the miles to sit beneath your treee
would you open me slowly
savoring the pretty outside
or would you rip apart the whisper of covering
delving quick and deep for the gifts in waiting?
If my thoughts and passions were cherries in chocolate
how many boxes would have claim as yours?
If I were pale divinity
sprinkled with pecan surprises
would you want to know the recipe that made me so rich
or would you simply devour, with passion and at once
the delicious dessert in your hands?
Would you revel in the dark chocolate fudge of my eyes
lovemade, not homemade
but still perfect enough to send your lovebuds roaring?
If I were the warm smell of baking pies
how deeply would you inhale me
imagining my flavor
and how much of me, freshly baked,
would you have before you were content?
If I were eggnog, would you drink me plain
or sprinkle me in love and cinnamon?
If my one Christmas wish were you
would you be surprised?

Your storm of assumption feeds anger I am calm enough to hold inside. Don't pretend to know me if you've never put stretched out your heart with since

wow. . . that's tough. . . a present that I want to savor, but yet want to have as much of as possible right away. . .

hmmmmmmmmmmm. . .

perhaps a little of both, savoring and then getting as much as possible. . . great job. . .

What man would not want to just devour each
of the delicious treats?  Could his patience
allow him to savor each one slowly...Mannn..
Now I am hungry...

This is quite the gift giving idea!

But, would Santa be able to put the gift of a person under the tree?

to savor every minute of it.

Such temptation!

Nice work, Jenn.
