White Sides White side mountains, winter has been there left the snow trash out, will be a long time before spring comes to pick it up, snow people will come like dogs, looking for pleasure snacks, will spread it around, rub it on their bodies for scent, howl at night and keep the trees awake, do their mating dances, then in anxious packs will make tracks, to touch each rise and valley, instinct to scatter what winter has made leave nothing in quiet order... ©OWG [This message has been edited by OWG (edited 12-07-2001).] |

Very impressive work here Mr. OWG. Your work always has impressed me, but dang I think you got into some cool vibes this afternoon. Don't mind if I print this one out and tuck it away beside the other one I have. Right next to the one about sis visiting the soldiers and kissing the white stone. YOU REALLY NEED TO POST THAT ONE! Wonderful images babe. On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free. |

As soon as I get home will do it, but then I really expect you to post it to though. It still makes me shiver every time that I read it. Primo stuff babe, this one about Jim Dickey.... and darn I just took it out of my wallet a few days ago...didn't know your words touched me that much did you, I carried it around and showed it off!(hey for you........anything....*wg*) On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free. ~Me~ (I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance~Garth) [This message has been edited by Gentle Spirit (edited 12-06-2001).] |

I love the offhandedness of these thoughts. A verse beyond the beaten path and that's a very good thing. The snow people are like our tourists here. Really great write. Sincerely, Regina |

then in anxious packs will make tracks, to touch each rise and valley, instinct to scatter what winter has made leave nothing in quiet order... ~*~ since it's winter, again... this makes for a nice re-read... |
