So many dreams I had with you You always threw them all away No matter what I would try to do Nothing ever did seem to be okay Remember all the things you'd say Things you said you wanted then What ever happened to that day No matter what I do I can not win In every way I tried to please you But it never seemed good enough Now I just don't know what to do I think my heart has turned tough © By Sue 12-5-01 |

*sigh* sometimes I wonder if we are trying so hard to please that we forget to just love them....mmmm someone told me that is what I did. I was so worried about making them happy that I gave my soul away. Great poem. **Hugs** Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Sometimes we get so lost in others we lose ourselves. I speak from experience on that one. You can and you will win, for you must! Wonderful poem! ^_^ LadySofia |

Sue, Been there! But I bet you're only tough enough to be a survivor but not tough enough to be calloused. Sin isn't fair, but God got even, grace isn't fair either. larry c |

This reminds me of the Dixie Chicks song... "Let Him Fly" awww. Nice one Jenn "I want love on my own terms; after everything I've ever learned. Me, I carry too much baggage..." |

Sometimes we try to please so hard that we lose sight of who we are.Be yourself and if it's not good enough tell him to deal with it and kick him in the butt. Peaches You are strong and could never be calloused. |

Dear Sue - I posted the poem below twice before, so I will not post it as a topic again; but, your poem reminded me of it, and I thought you might like to read it, as you were not around back then. I hope it gives you hope, and perhaps sets a course for you. I originally wrote it for a friend of mine who was going through a horrible emotional beating from his wife (and now ex-wife). She is now the wind. I hope you find yourself in a similar happier state. I titled the poem, The Wind, and I write it here just for you. Good luck in your life. You made me feel dependent. Weak. I sank to pleading for each caress. My spirit, once the best part of me, I subdued because you thought it best. You blew through my life in a blast, Thoughtlessly sweeping aside my dreams. Eroding my strength, the love I had, Consuming them both to suit your means. The deepness of my relief states, Joy found me when you slipped your hold. My new feelings of worth obviate, Old memories of remorse and cold. The past is gone, the present aches, My future lies ahead unclear. Your are the wind. That was my mistake, But now you're gone. I'm free. I'm here. The wind comes, affects us, and then is gone. [This message has been edited by LngJhnAg (edited 12-06-2001).] |
