The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-12-05 08:38 AM

In shadowed dreams do many live
not finding what they have to give
In haunted lives do they remain
so many hearts have thus been stained.

While falling, tears may turn to rust
Hope struggles once more from the dust
as moon arises o'er the night
the shadows fade from constant sight.

Though dreams do seem elusive still
perhaps it's not over until
hearts mis-remember how to beat
or cease to feel their former heat.

And shadowed dreams illuminate
to once again take back their fate
Return to find they never died
The shadows? Yes, sometimes they lie.

I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind-I left my body lying somewhere in the sands of time. (3 Doors Down)

(big hugggsssssss) Dreams can be overshadowed by our emotions, but heartbeats will continue to give us warmth and hope, and will illuminate once again with love! (smiles) Very soon the prince of your dreams will come and take your hand and forever you'll walk hand in hand in harmony! (sigh) BRAVO!!! I love your wonderful words as always! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Catalina Moon,
Very beautiful. A shadow can hide you or imitate you, but never occur on it's own. Sometimes we feel like or envy that shadow.

I have only witnessed shadows to lie when one is still ...
they are only mere images of another deminsion afterall.

I do know the stains of rust and dust ...
the ache of such dreams.
The only way through is forward, doesn't mean there is no more heartache ...
just hopefully wiser to that which illuminates the path.

Pleasant journeys.

Excellent use of imagery in this one, Sandra.  Truly, some of the best of your work I've seen.  (((hugs)))
