Fragile And Exciting

Able to be strengthened
Flexible it shall bend
It when heartbroken
It takes ages to mend

Took a lifetime to make
Each day it is there
Strings often strained
Amongst wear and tear

Of sadness and sorrow
It feels every blow
I’ll go off repairing
To return with a glow

When chewed and used
Healing takes time
Wisdom is gained
In recovering the shine

Only having one heart
Fragile and exciting
Embrace me forever
For I love to be writing

I especially loved the line: "When chewed and used, healing takes time..."
